Smith Crane Hire's Liehberr LG1550 successfully replaced two pre-heater units at the Methanex NZ Motonui Methanol plant near Taranaki.
These large units weighing up to 140-tonne were replaced using all of the crane's available capacity with only millimetres to spare for clearance.
A combination of good planning, good communication and an experienced site team contributed to the 100% success with five setups and five major lifts all undertaken within the timeframe allocated, and during unfavourable weather conditions. Do you have a similar type job requirement?
