The Grove GMK6300L, our largest telescopic boom mobile crane, and our experienced emergency response team were mobilised to assist with a fallen tree on Collingwood Street, Nelson.
The famous old redwood, dating back to 1919, was toppled during the Easter weekend storm, requiring pieces to be extracted up-and-over neighboring houses.
Whilst the massive crane and associated road closures created quite a spectacle for the locals, the real challenge was getting there in the first place through the Kaikoura tunnels.
